skinsalker While Jane herself is a very direct person, she does describe things in enough detail to keep the story interesting and unique, from teapots to the smell of a motorcycle. The one who recommended it knows I really don’t care for I don’t like reading those sections where Ekinwalker takes over and talks in Jane’s mind.
It wasn’t that bad. While I thought, I stood and lifted the kettle off the flame, splashed boiling water over the teapot and into the strainer in its top, equalizing the temperature inside and out before filling the pot. Unless she wants to face a very angry mast vampire, she will have to work overtime to find the killer.

Looking forward to seeing how the next book goes! I don’t read romance novels. Jane’s a supremely well-drawn, round character, with a personality and interior life that’s believable and that’s some achievement, when you consider some of her characteristics!
