I’ll start by saying DAMN! Add in some chilling and dark ritual scenes and a literally explosive conclusion, this book is pretty good.
I thought angels didn’t do spells and all that. Lance and Haven are drifting further away from each other than they ever expected and with the demons amee campaigning for their souls, now is not the time to be divided. A coming of age book character is a gay best friend to the main character. He’s a good guy and his heart is in the right place, but his evil, jealous boss is ruining him as a person–making him a selfish, undesirable, nearly-controlling date. Haven Terra yes, the name has import was abandoned as a child – found bruised, bleeding and alone at the side of the road when she was five, with no memory of her past.
There illuminare some not altogether unprecedented surprises that took place and both thrilled and haunted me. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve known guys like that–gay or straight for that matter, but Agresti doesn’t given him any hidden depths or flaws. Me and this book just aren’t meant agersti be. Until pagewhen she’s suddenly kissed by someone else and announces “it was you Lucian was the alluring crush and Aurelia the boss was pretty evil. Illuminate is extremely long for a debut novel, and there were definitely some scenes that seemed superfluous that could have been edited out.
Since it’s her debut effort, a healthy length and part one of a series I’m leaning towards forgiving her this once and seeing what happens in part two. I could not wait for what would happen next. The story takes place in The Lexington Hotel which, in reality, was torn down in the eighties. Horrible ending to not have a sequel. The first thing Haven notices when meeting Aurelia is that she looks nearly Haven’s age–not old enough agresfi run a huge hotel based off of Capone’s reign in Chicago.
Like fallen angels are bad- that’s a given. Haven is very “good”; she’s a tad too all-powerful, ilulminate tad too intelligent. It just makes the demons all the more quietly dangerous, and I thought that was a pretty great choice on her part. Agrestk, I give this book a 4 stars rating.

While not quite as startlingly awesome as book one, “Infatuate” is still an excellently bold book with lots of stuff that’s going to make you never want to say YOLO ever again. At the end all was forgiven, and I am worried that they will stay together in this series. Lance was also extremely intelligent and considered to be the “architect” of their little project.
As a soul illuminator, Haven makes sure to take pictures of all the people in her house, and anyone else deemed suspicious, so she, Dante and Lance can identify any evil characters around them. Ainee first I actually wasn’t so sure as to how it was going to work out, but Illuminte was pleasantly and ageesti surprised. Please email webmaster fantasticfiction.
